Rovio’s very popular franchise, Angry Birds, got a new look for the upcoming feature film, Rio. Whether you like it or hate it, there is no denying the success of the franchise. Look no further than the figure: 10 millions sold in 10 days.
In Angry Birds Rio, the Angry Birds have been kidnapped and taken to Rio, Brazil, where they escape and have to save their other feathered friends. Instead of their predecessor, when you fail a level, an adorable blue bird will appear in a cage, with a small teardrop falling from its eyes.
In my own personal experience, Angry Birds Rio is by far the best game of the franchise. I enjoyed the challenge of hunting for the golden fruit (pineapples in the first level, bananas in the second) and the generally theme of the game itself.
The game is available free on the Android and Amazon market (with ads), $0.99 on the iPhone, and $2.99 on the iPad.
