Good news for fans of the popular mobile device game, Angry Birds. A new instalment to the Angry Birds family has been added; Angry Birds Rio is now available on Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Mac computers.
Launched today as a tie-in with the upcoming 20th Century Fox film, Rio, a 3D animated movie about a very rare blue parrot names Rio. In the gameplay of Angry Birds Rio, animal smugglers have kidnapped the Angry Birds and taken them to Rio, where the Angry Birds promptly escape and try to free their friends, Blu and Jewel.
If that’s not exciting enough, this new instalment will have 2 episodes and 60 levels. There will be a episodic update throughout the year.
Unfortunately, if you are an AT&T customer like myself, tough luck, as Angry Birds Rio is exclusively available in the Amazon App store, and AT&T has blocked this application. Here is to hoping it will be available soon on the Android market.
