Up until now Nintendo has been pretty quite about the titles that would be hitting the shelves as soon as the portable console launches this March 27th. Aside from the first party titles Ubisoft will be delivering heavily as well in the games corner, likely to ensure the sales are strong right out of the gate, this seemed to work well in the past, with the Wii’s launch.
Here’s the complete 18-game lineup:
• Pilotwings Resort (Nintendo)
• Steel Diver (Nintendo)
• Nintendogs + Cats (Nintendo)
• Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (Capcom)
• The Sims 3 (EA)
• Madden NFL Football (EA Sports)
• Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D (Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.)
• LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (LucasArts)
• RIDGE RACER 3D (Namco Bandai)
• Super Monkey Ball™ 3D (Sega)
• BUST-A-MOVE UNIVERSE (Square-Enix, Inc.)
• SAMURAI WARRIORS: Chronicles (Tecmo Koei)
• Asphalt 3D (Ubisoft)
• Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D (Ubisoft)
• Rayman 3D (Ubisoft)
• Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Shadow Wars (Ubisoft)
We’ll have to wait and see if the 3DS will capture mainstream attention in the same way or if possibility of glasses-free 3D is a persuasive selling point for consumers.
