Capcom Admits They Are Sad About the MaXplosion Situation

Capcom Admits They Are Sad About the MaXplosion Situation

Chris Hernandez 14 Jan

Just a couple of days after it was pointed at that Capcom is creating a borderline copy of  Twisted Pixel’s Splosion Man with iPhone clone MaXplosion, they released an official statement to Joystiq about the situation. Not only that but it was revealed that Twisted Pixel went to them with the idea and it was rejected.

Capcom admits that its console team met with Twisted Pixel, but says that Capcom Mobile (the group behind MaXplosion) had no knowledge of those meetings. “Nonetheless,” the statement read, “we are saddened by this situation and hope to rebuild the trust of our fans and friends in the gaming community.”

They have no plans however to remove the game from the app store nor do they seem willing to make it cheaper or even free to show how truly sad they are.
