What’s Bungie Upto Now?

What’s Bungie Upto Now?

Nick Hernandez 13 Jan

Since Bungie has moved on from focusing on the Halo universe, the studio has been quiet about what’s next. But a batch of copyright and domain registrations may give us some insight on what they are upto.

In July of 2010, the Washington-based developer filed copyright registration for artworks (which include logos and marketing materials) for “Seven Seraphs,” “Osiris,” “New Monarchy,” and “Dead Orbit.” Domain registrations related to three of them (“Seven Seraphs,” “New Monarchy,” and “Dead Orbit”) were also registered.

What we do know about Bungie’s next project is that its looking at a 10-year publishing deal with Activision’s Blizzard on bringing a completely new intellectual property to market. The title is said to be multiplatform, and many have speculated that it may be a massively multi-player affair. So, if Halo is anything to go by then I am extremely excited for Bungie’s new game(s).
