I always wonder what it would be like have $1.5 billion deposited in your bank account would be like? Well the graphic card manufacturer nVidia just signed a deal with Intel that ends a two year lawsuit and gives Intel continued use of Nvidia technology.
In early 2009, Intel and Nvidia were suing each other over an older chipset licensing agreement. Today, however, the two companies have settled their differences. For the next six years Intel will be allowed continued use of Nvidia-developed graphics chips, and in return Intel will make annual payments to Nvidia adding up to $1.5 billion.
Well I am glad the companies decided they can be friends. For $1.5 billion we’d probably be willing to forgive both companies for helping sell computers with locked specs.
