The hacks and mods seem endless since the Kinect drivers have been released for Windows. This most recent one seems one of the more interesting of the gaming related ones. Though R.U.S.E. was intended for one of Microsofts other projects, Surface, the Kinect use seems to capture the essence of it quite well. Check after the break for all the gesture controlled RTS action.
As you can see it is a very impressive use of the technology, though I can’t see how enjoyable holding your arms like that would be when you are gaming for an extended period. I am excited to see what other sorts of homebrew software and hardware uses will be made with this revolutionary tech. I hope Microsoft takes note of this as well as it could prove to garner more hardcore attention to this motion controller.
