Each year, around the holiday season, Microsoft releases a new Xbox 360 bundle to get more gamers on the bandwagon, by including free software with the console. This year is going to fare much better with the ‘core’ gaming crowd, presumably because there is already a Kinect bundle to appease the non-gaming audience. The bundle includes the 250GB Xbox S, Alan Wake and Forza Motorsports 3.
Last years bundle included the 120GB Elite console with Lego Batman and Pure, both are less than stellar games, hardly a deal. I think the inclusion of Alan Wake alone is more than a deal for the asking price of $300 for this sweet bundle. Alan Wake garnered underwhelming sales success but did not go unappreciated by the gaming press and got very favourable reviews all around.
The Forza series has been no stranger to bundles either and with the 4th game in development there is plenty of reason to start enjoying the incredible racing simulation series now. All in all this is a very preferable deal for those who have not yet been sold on the Kinect and it’s software and have been waiting for a great bundle to get on board with Microsoft’s console.
