Last week, we let informed you of the latest hotness coming out of Nintendo, that being the 25th Anniversary, red DSi XL. It seems the tradition has trickled on to the it’s under-powered brethren, the Wii. Not only is North America finally going to get their hands on that bright red Wii they have been dreaming of, but, they will also be getting the shiny new Wii Remote Plus which eliminates the need for that unsightly Motion Plus dongle. The Wiimote, of course, will also get the nifty paintjob.
The bundle also includes the red-cased New Super Mario Brothers Wii and, the expected, Wii Sports disc. The whole bundle will retail for the low price of $199, which is actually quite a great deal. The new remote, which is sold separately in multiple colours (blue, pink, white and black) will retail for $39.99. No word as to whether you can get the red one as a standalone.
This may be a good reason to invest in a Wii, or even to ‘upgrade’.
