As promised before launch, Bungie unveiled another playlist on friday in Halo: Reach that will accommodate all gamers who wish to play through any campaign level through Xbox Live. Its nice to be able to play through an epic campaign with gamers beyond the likes of your own friends list. Upon entering the playlist you have an opportunity to vote on the appropriate difficulty level, just in case you either want to take it easy or grind a legendary mission. Bungie has stated that this playlist wasn’t available right away at launch in order to keep gamers from accidentally hoping into the end of the game pre maturely, the game is over a month old now and its time to have some fun apparently. This playlist is live now!
Other Halo: Reach news includes a proper matchmaking update coming tomorrow that will further modify and enhance the online experience. Team Snipers will we given its own playlist, and so will Living Dead. No longer will snipes and zombies be over running team slayer and rumble-pit playlists. One of my initial gripes about Reach was that the playlists were to crowded with random game types, at least Bungie has addressed this already. Other minor changes will be made to narrow in on what each playlist should actually be providing. For instance Rumble-pit will now feature many more standard slayer modes, hence Living Dead getting its own playlist.
Score Attack is also getting some fine tuning, and because of the changes all of the leader-board scores will be reset. So if you were holding a spot at the top of your friends lists, be sure to fire Reach up tomorrow and re claim your glory. As mentioned last week the Noble Map pack is still on schedule for November 20th, I imagine we will see another update after the DLC launches in order to make space for the new maps. Thats all for Reach updates now, be sure to check back soon for more goodness.
