Major League Gaming – Washington D.C. – Halo, Starcraft 2, WoW, and SSBB – Oct 15-17th

MLG continues to grow larger and larger with each event held nation wide, if you have never been to www.mlgpro.com, this weekend would be a great opportunity to indulge is some of the most competitive gaming on the planet. This weekend the nations best gamers are competing on a variety of titles ranging from both Halo 3 and Halo Reach, and of course new comers like Starcraft 2, WoW, and Super Smash Bros.

Halo has always been the flagship title for MLG, but as the league grows, the demand for more diverse games continues to rise as well. This evening MLG will host it’s “ESPN Saturday Night” which will feature a variety of matches from Halo 3’s winners bracket. All amateur and open bracket teams have already begun competing on Halo: Reach and will continue too for the rest of the season. Each title mentioned above has their own appropriate broadcasting channel imbedded on the website for easy navigation.

MLG Washington is a crucial tournament for many teams, as it may be their last chance to snag a play off spot before the final tournament in Dallas next month. Over the past 12 months MLG has expanded in the realm on national sponsors, air time, web site upgrades, and overall community growth. As a competition gaming connoisseur, I highly recommend that you give MLG a chance this weekend, so you can tell all your friends before it eventually goes completely mainstream…it will happen just wait.

Halo 3 Teams to Look Out For This Weekend:
Final Boss – Won ther last tournament
*Instinct – Looking to take their thrown back from FB
STR8 Rippin – Rough season so far, team has rebuilt and is playing well again.
Triggers Down – One of the most practiced and dominate teams on the circuit year round with a great lineup
