HTC has been involved in some pretty ridiculous rumours as of late, especially regarding the “HD7” which many outlets assumed was just another name for the HD3. The leaked specs for the aforementioned device were pretty spectacular and, frankly, hard to believe–they were indeed to good to be true. The HD3 specs have been announced for HTC flagship Windows Phone 7 handset and they are not so amazing, standard would be more a more appropriate term. Check after the break for the breakdown.
- 4.3-inch WVGA
- 1GHz processor
- 8GB of storage ( not yet known if an user expandable memory is available )
- 5 MP Camera with dual flash and HD video capture
- Kickstand – around the camera surround
Hopefully the memory is expandable to make the 8GB not seem so minimal. Also, Sense will not be in the initial release of the phone as HTC needs a bit more time to work out there famed User Interface for the WP7 platform. I am still hoping that the HD7 was an alternate WP7 device that is still being release as it is touted as having a dual-core processor.

I totally agree! While these specs are nothing to sneeze at I hope there is a alternate WP7 HD7 with even more killer specs, like a front camera, more internal storage, a faster processor AND the super AMOLED would be amazing. Make the HD7 design even more refined and professional looking. That would be a winner! The kick stand is a great feature but I’d rather sacrifice it to have a slimmer hand held…..

I would love to see any WP7 with a super AMOLED screen, that would be beautiful. I kind of like the idea of having a kickstand if the battery life supports watching a video at some point during the day.

so basicly, if not for the internal memory amount and de ridicullous 3 button requirement the hd3 is basicly an hd2 optimized for windows 7, nice one, market strategy allways on top of customer support how nice i was seeing this comming from a mile away
