When Valve stated that they would be supporting Left 4 Dead after the launch of the sequel, I had no idea that eventually the games would co-exist. With the new DLC titled “The Sacrifice”, both L4D and L4D2 gamers will have an oppurtunity to play through similar but different content. The DLC launches October 5th on both Xbox 360 and PC with PC gamers getting the content for free and 500 MS points for the 360. Details are listed as follows:
Left 4 Dead Owners
-New campaign titled “The Sacrifice”
-Campaign follows the perspective of the original cast.
-Make decisions to see who will be “sacrificed” at the end of the campaign (connecting “The Passing” into the story)
Left 4 Dead 2 Owners
-New Campaign titled “The Sacrifice”
-“No Mercy” is brought back from the original
-Original characters are introduced as playable characters
-Campaign, Versus, Survival, and Scavenge will all feature L4D2 specific items and special infected.
This is a great investment if you have been a fan of these games. Connecting two titles through DLC is something I would love to see more of through other developers. Remember this DLC launches October 5th, so give it a download and let us know what you think.
