During Gamescom today the release date for Valve’s Portal 2 was announced as February 6th/2011 in North America and February 9th/2011 in the UK. Hopefully by then I’ll be able to take some time and devote it to some physics and sociology courses just so my brain is ready for this game.
The brief gameplay segments shown for Portal 2 have already shown that Valve knows how to push their own boundaries extremely well with creativity in mind. The gameplay looks challenging, inventive, and engaging. This will be a great way to start off the new gaming year in 2011 and could even become a contender for 2011 Game of the Year if it lives up to the hype.
